 Egypt turned 12 in early June 2021. It's hard to believe, but it was her second birthday limited by COVID-19. She still had a great time spent at home with her family, but she is already asking for a trip for her 13th birthday because she's tired of always being at home. When I asked where she wanted to go next year, Egypt answered, "Hawaii." Hopefully, it will be safe to travel soon as a family and we can think about Egypt turning a teenager, but lets look back at 12 because it was pretty special.  Lisa took Egypt for acrylic nails the day before her birthday. Egypt has been begging and pleading for acrylic nails for so long and it was easy to push them off to the future when everything was closed down for the global pandemic. However, her asking increased as things slowly started to open.  Lisa reports that Egypt was very surprised and beyond thankful for her nails. As a bonus, she also got a pedicure. Christmas Morning 2020 - Roseville, CA    I created a photobook as a Christmas 2020 gift for Egypt. After asking a few sneaky questions, I realized Egypt wanted her story to be titled,   Egypt's Path . A nod to her sister, Kellisa. The book started with the very first picture we ever took of Egypt in 2010 and chronicled the years right up to and including 2020. My goal with the book was to present Egypt in a way you could get to know this highly intelligent and diverse young lady without spoken words. Someday, hopefully far in the future, I won't be around to share the stories captured on the pages and Egypt will have them in one nice and organized place. She deeply appreciated the book and spent close to an hour going through each page in the middle of opening her presents. Egypt did not remember some of the pictures or stories behind them, so time was spent reminiscing.  While the book shared the pictures of Egypt's life up until 2020, I realized it didn't properly...
